Located on the spectacular Seven Heads Peninsula, Courtmacsherry is a picturesque seaside village with stunning views and a plethora of outdoor activities.
Courtmacsherry has everything from fishing, sailing, kayaking and windsurfing to friendly bars with excellent food, music and good company. The village is surrounded by unspoilt beaches such as Courtmacsherry Beach, Broadstrand, Blindstrand, Dunworley and other coves. The area is also a centre for walking, cycling, pony- trekking and bird watching.

Much of the village life centres around the Lifeboat Service, with local voluntary crews ensuring that this historic lifeboat station, one of the first established in Ireland, maintains an active role.
This tourist haven also holds annual events with a difference… Strand Racing (horses) on the beach, Courtmacsherry Harbour Festival, Song book (singing) Weekend, 100k Ultra-marathon, Road Bowling, Hurling, Football and the Barryroe Show.
The Seven Heads Peninsula is a well known holiday attraction, since the opening of the Millennium Walk, it has become renowned as a magnificent walking area. The entire Seven Heads walk is approximately 42 kms with several shorter walks for the less energetic!

The Millennium Walk starts from the old monastic village of Timoleague following the shoreline with its lush scenery to Courtmacsherry. In the Spring the local woodland is famously carpeted with bluebells. The rugged coastline surrounds the rolling hills to Butlerstown, onto the parish of Barryroe, Ardgehane, Ballinglanna and Grange before eventually returning to Timoleague or Courtmacsherry. Enjoy refreshments along the way in the truly traditional Irish Bars, with free-wheeling conversation, Irish ‘craic’ and live music. Sample the fine local cuisine in unique restaurants overlooking the picturesque Bay.
The people here are always ready for a friendly chat. Many visitors find that the scenic bay road leading to Courtmacsherry and onto Seven Heads exerts magical powers.
You may never want to go home!
